What We Do

Two Magpies Fund is a philanthropic foundation that awards grants to charities and not-for-profits working to address violence against women and girls (VAWG) in all its forms, and to help primary school aged children growing up in poverty. Two Magpies Fund has awarded over £2million in the last 5 years to over 100 organisations, based mainly in London.

  • Our current VAWG Strategy commits to giving multi-year, unrestricted grants to programmes that prevent gender-based violence through education, and to those that support people to leave abusive relationships and rebuild their lives.

  • Our current Children's Strategy aims to give young people the best start in life by supporting the work of baby banks and playschemes in family hostels.

  • A newly commissioned stream of work is looking at the negative impacts of the criminal justice system on women and their families.

In the past, we have funded counselling, education and support services for organisations working in the fields of domestic abuse, human trafficking, sexual abuse, forced marriage, FGM or modern slavery, as well as the activities of hostels, community groups, homework clubs, food banks, beauty banks and baby banks. We welcome applications for projects, one-off costs (equipment) and running costs. We do not fund individuals, faith-based organisations or research grants.

We aim to get vital funds straight to where they are needed most, as quickly and simply as possible.

Important notice: we have now fully committed our funding for 2025 and 2026. We are not accepting new applications. We plan to review our fundraising priorities again in September 2026 and may then open our application process to new organisations.
